Activated Carbon
Description
Activated Carbon
Product Information
Ardrox 945 consists of black granules of pure forms of activated carbons, which are extremely effective in the removal of penetrants and emulsifiers from rinse water. They have controlled particle size and have been specifically designed to operate with Ardrox penetrant systems.
Ardrox 945 is used for treating rinse waters containing the whole range of Ardrox red dye and fluorescent penetrants
Method of use
For best results, Ardrox 945 should be used in an Ardrox filter unit. The water to be treated is continuously pumped through the carbon in a downward direction. This method ensures that the water has maximum contact with the carbon and the sudden increases in the contamination level, for example at the start of the rinsing operation, can be readily accommodated.
Ardrox 945 is also used in an Ardrox carousel penetrant plant.
When wetting this product prior to use, add the powder steadily to an excess of water rather than adding water to the bulk powder, otherwise significant heat generation can occur.
