The Paint Inspection Kit offers the industrial painter all the essential equipment needed for the testing of blast-cleaned steel prior to the protective coating application.
When steel has been blast-cleaned to a surface preparation of Sa 2½, the inspection of the steel to ISO Standards is required. This ISO Standard compliance ensures that blast-cleaned steel is correctly prepared for the application of protective coatings.
Main features:
Supplied in an industrial carrying case with Testex Gauge/Testex Tape, Bresle Test, Dust Test, Dewpoint Meter, Coating Thickness Meter and Wet Film Gauges.
The equipment supplied in the Paint Inspection Kit will enable on-site testing for all six stages of blast-cleaned steel and coating inspection.
Stage 1: Surface profile measurement of the blasted profile (ISO 8503-5 and NACE SP0287)
Stage 2: Surface cleanliness testing for soluble salts (ISO 8502-6 and ISO 8502-9)
Stage 3: Surface cleanliness assessment for the quantity and size of dust particles (ISO 8502-3)
Stage 4: Climatic conditions for the estimation of the probability of condensation (ISO 8502-4)
Stage 5: Wet film measurement to ensure the correct wet film thickness has been applied (ISO 2808)
Stage 6: Coating Thickness measurement to ensure the correct coating thickness has been applied (ISO 2808 and ISO 19840)
