The Graetz Gamma Twin is a small and handy dose rate meter for the measurement of gamma radiation and x-rays for ambient dose rate equivalent H*(10) and ambient dose equivalent H*(10) (local dose). The Gamma Twin is PTB-approved, equivalent to this approval is NPL (UK) and NIST (USA).

The detector contains an energy compensated Geiger-Muller tube and has a large digital indication of measured values on LC display (backlit). The unit has selectable simultaneous or separate indications of dose and dose rate, additionally analogue indication of dose rate (logarithmic bargraph).

The Graetz Gamma Twin is used in order to protect the workforce from exposure and to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, radiation dose rates must be carefully monitored and controlled. Dose rate meters with alarm function for personal radiation protection when handling ionising radiation and for the detection of the dose rate and of the local dose.
