DR-62 Properties

DR-62 is a powerful solvent cleaner AMS 2644 approved. This product evaporates quickly and is capable of displacing the water present in the discontinuities. Its suggested usage includes elimination of various pollutants, including water, prior to the penetration phase, removal of doubt in fluorescent penetrant testing and the removal of excess penetrant during the process. This product has a very low halogen and sulphur content, which is compatible with all metals, ceramics and certain plastics.

Directions for use

To clean a part, apply DR-62 plentifully and wipe simultaneously with a clean, dry rag. The cleaner quickly evaporates and leaves the part completely clean and without any trace of lubricant, grease or oil.

Penetrant Removal:

Remove as much excess penetrant as possible using clean, dry rag or towelling. Remove remaining penetrant film by wiping with rag or towelling that has been slightly moistened with DR-62. Use a minimum of the product, avoid flushing penetrant from flaws. Do not spray DR-62 directly on part surface when removing excess penetrant. Rough surfaces require more generous applications of the cleaner. Allow surface to dry completely before applying developer.
