B101C Properties

B101C is a universal fluorescent magnetic developer. This product is very fine, very stable and exists in multi-position aerosol generator. It can be used with all magnetic generators.

Instructions for use:

It is better to remove any paint residue, oxide, welding powder, which could give false indications. Part degreasing is suggested.

Use of Spray-can:

Shake B 101C can until ball inside is clearly heard.

Use of bulk:

Before any use, stir the product thoroughly to ensure consistent concentration. When the B101C is in a bench, switch on the recirculating pump before inspection for homogenisation.

Application:

For 3 to 5 seconds spray B 101C while magnetizing the part. Let magnetizing on for 2 or 3 seconds after spraying ends so as to “glue” the particles.

Inspection:

Inspect using a UV-A source giving at least 1500 μW/m2 on the surface under inspection, in a darkened area (visible light level less than 20 lux), after a 2 to 3 minutes adaptation period for the operator’s eyes (refer to ISO 3059).

Actinic Blue is also possible.
